Our Projects

"If we have the courage to pursue them, all dreams can come true." – Walt Disney

Constantly enriching the quality of services offered to our users is a project in itself, a project for which our entire team is solidly mobilized. In addition to this, other major projects are very close to our heart. Their realization will contribute significantly to improving the lives of several individuals in need of support.

RESPITE CENTER

The organization wishes to acquire a property to operate a respite center that can house our users on an occasional basis, thus offering relaxation, rejuvenation, and support to their families. This center would be in operation 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. It should be noted that there is currently no such reception house in our region.

SNOEZELEN ROOM SETUP

Snoezelen is a controlled multisensory stimulation, a practice aimed at awakening the sensoriality of the stimulated person in a secure environment. This practice is known for its positive effects on people with severe mental disabilities. These individuals are characterized by the fact that it is difficult to communicate with them using traditional means. Not relying on verbal communication, snoezelen allows for the stimulation of individuals with profound autism and severe disabilities.

COMPLETE KITCHEN SETUP

In addition to meeting practical needs, installing a complete and functional kitchen will allow for the creation of simple cooking workshops for the great delight of our budding young chefs.

ADAPTED BUS

Traveling outside the center is often complex. An adapted bus would allow better transport logistics during our cultural outings. The Academy plans to purchase a vehicle adapted to the needs of our users.

MOTOR SKILLS ROOM SETUP

Getting our young adults moving in a room equipped with fun equipment that allows for building a course with some stairs, obstacles, and challenges is a healthy and enjoyable activity that will soon be possible in our own facilities.

… AND ALSO

Opening new centers to serve a greater number of families and users and becoming an inspiring model for parents or organizations wishing to open a similar center to the Zénith Academy in various regions of Quebec.
